Don’t Get Choked Up!

The world is full of small items that can be a choking hazard to a toddler. To help keep him safe, take these precautions: Don’t let him play with anything that is small enough to fit into a tube of toilet paper. Keep buttons, coins, jewelry, magnets and other small things out of his reach. Also, don’t give him round foods such as hard candy or peanuts. Cut his food into small bites that can be swallowed easily and make him sit down to eat to avoid a stumble that could cause him to choke.
