Natural Benefits

Breast milk contains the best possible combination of nutrients for your baby, and for the first four to six months of life, he/she probably won’t need anything else. It’s easy for him/her to digest, it helps fight infections and it can limit his exposure to potential allergens.1

If you make the choice not to breastfeed, you may still give your baby all the nutrients he/she needs with commercial formula, which is the most acceptable alternative until he/she is nine to 12 months of age, according to the Canadian Paediatric Society, Dieticians of Canada and Health Canada. 2,3

Important Fluids

Most babies need about one and one-half ounces of fluid for each pound of body weight. Although they usually get the amount they need from breast milk or formula, there may be times when they need more.4 Additional breast milk, formula or water such as Nursery® Water can be added to your little one’s diet.
